明朱廷立撰。廷立，通山人。嘉靖癸未进士，官至礼部右侍郎。嘉靖八年，廷立以河南道监察御史奉使清理两淮盐政，因博考古今盐制，以成此书。凡分七门：曰《出产》，曰《建立》，曰《制度》，曰《制诏》，曰《疏议》，曰《盐官》，曰《禁令》。每门各分子目，凡三百九十有四。盖制诏疏议每一篇立一目，故其繁至是也。

明朱廷立撰。廷立有《盐政志》，已著录。是集凡诗四卷，文四卷，其门人兵部尚书刘体乾撰《墓志》，称其学出于「姚江」，而挤之者复出自「姚江」之流。今其文集内推尊王守仁甚至，而诗集中《东邻女》、《西邻妇》二首，详其词意，实有所托讽，意即指所谓挤之者欤？讲学而至相倾轧，不知所讲何学也。
