建元四年三月壬戌，高帝崩，是日，皇太子即皇帝位，大赦。征镇州郡令长、军屯营部，各行丧三日，不得擅离任。都邑城守，防备幢队，一不得还。乙丑，称先帝遗诏，以司徒褚彦回录尚书事，尚书左仆射王俭为尚书令，车骑将军张敬儿开府仪同三司。诏曰：「丧礼虽有定制，先旨每存简约，内官可三日一还临，外官间日一还临，后有大丧皆如之。」丁卯，以前将军王奂为尚书左仆射。庚午，以司空豫章王嶷为太尉。癸酉，诏免逋城钱，自今以后，申明旧制。初晋、宋旧制，受官二十日，辄送修城钱二千。宋泰始初，军役大起，受官者万计，兵戎机急，事有未遑，自是令仆以下，并不输送。二十年中，大限不可胜计，文符督切，扰乱在所，至是除荡，百姓悦焉。夏四月辛卯，追尊穆妃为皇后。

十二月，以江州刺史王奂为尚书右仆射。改封武昌王子明为西阳王。

五年春正月戊子，以太尉豫章王嶷为大司马，车骑将军竟陵王子良为司徒，骠骑将军临川王映、卫将军王俭、中军将军王敬则并以本号开府仪同三司。以尚书右仆射王奂为尚书左仆射。辛卯，赐孤寡老疾各有差。

八年春正月庚子，以领军王奂为尚书左仆射。丁巳，以行百济王泰为镇东大将军、百济王。

二月，雍州刺史王奂有罪，伏诛。
