无论怎么断句，讲的意思都是一个。《道德真經註》的有一定问题，老子道德经本身还是和周易有共通的。前半句主讲道体即mind，后半句主讲德用即action。
以观其妙说的是道的合于天地万物，以觀其徼指的是行为后果的合于理。 我还是比较建议参照下面断句：故常無欲，以觀其妙；常有欲，以觀其徼。这里的「欲」和印度哲学的「烦」有一定的共通。 不知道两者有没有关系，毕竟没人知道老子西去，其思想是否传到印度。
