《卷十六 器語》
1  | 澳門所居，其人皆西洋舶𡰥，性多黠慧。所造月影、海圖、定時鐘、指掌櫃，亦有裨民事，其風琴、水樂之類，則淫巧詭僻而已。至如機銃者，名覿面笑，弢藏於衣衱之中，而突發於咫尺之際，殺機不測，良可寒心。其製也，小石如豆，齧庋函外，鐵牙摩戛，火透函中，蓋皆精鐵分合而成。分之二十餘事，邈不相屬，合之各以牝牡橐籥相茹，納紐篆而入蝸戶，栝轉相制，機轉相發。外以五六鐵𣐝𣐝之，大四寸，圍長六七寸，以帶繫置腰間，帶有銅圈，可挿機銃二十枚。鉛彈亦懷於身，用時乃入。彈重八九分，用止二枚，不可多，多則壞銃。危急時，一人常有二十銃之用，百不失一，此亦防身之奇技也。區懷瑞有銘云：「有械咫尺，出自島舶。具銃之型，燄烟小弱。支緒瑣陳，煉鋼而作。輻輳委蛇，洞空橐籥。節短勢長，旋螺屈蠖。魚乙畛分，犬牙繡錯。關鍵相須，石金噴薄。渾合自然，不焚而灼。激射摧殘，等於戲虐。迅擊尋丈，不爽錙銖。蛻胎重器，巧捷于茲。觸光毫末，鋒鏑為威。變生衽席，狃而不知。明信在躳，聖鐵是衣。君子警斯，毋中于微。」 |
