甲作乙婦，丙來殺乙，而甲不知。後甲遂嫁與丙作妻，生二子，丙乃語甲。甲因丙醉殺之，並害二子。於義剛烈，則寬死不？參者云：「女子潔行專一，不以鼓刀稱義。今又改嫁，已絕先夫之恩；親害胞胎，又無慈母之道也。」 |
| | A took B as his wife, C came and killed B, but A did not know about it. Later, A was then married to C as his wife and gave birth to two sons, at which point C informed A. A took advantage of C's drunkenness to kill him, along with harming the two sons. If one upholds righteousness and is resolute, should he not be lenient toward death? A scholar said: "A woman who maintains moral integrity and remains faithful does not seek righteousness through the act of wielding a knife." Now she has remarried, having already severed her former husband's kindness; she personally harmed the unborn child and thus also lacks the virtue of a compassionate mother."
