《左傳·僖公》曰：夏大旱，公欲焚巫尫。臧文仲曰：「非旱備也。修城郭，貶食省用，務嗇勸分，嗇，儉也。勸分，有無相濟。此其務也。巫尫何為？天欲殺之，則如勿生；若能為旱，焚之滋甚。」公從之，是歲饑而不害。不傷害民。 又曰：昭公時，鄭大旱。使屠擊有事于桑山有事，祭也。斬其木，不雨。子產曰：「有事于山，藝山林也，藝，養護，令繁殖。而斬其木，其罪大矣。」奪之官邑。 |
