又《郊祀志》曰:成帝初即位,丞相衡、御史大夫譚奏言,祭天于南郊,就陽之義也;瘞地于北郊,即陰之象也,因其所都而各饗焉。昔者,周公文武郊于酆鎬,成王郊于洛邑。由此觀之,天隨王者所居而饗之可見也。甘泉泰畤河東后土之祠,宜可徙置長安。

《宋書·禮志》曰:晉太始二年十一月,有司又議:古者丘郊不異,宜并圓丘、方澤于南北郊,更修治壇,兆其二至之祀,合于二郊。帝又從之,一如宣帝所用王肅議也。是月庚寅,冬至,帝親祀圓丘于南郊。自是后圓丘、方澤不別立。
又曰:孫權始都武昌及建業,不立郊兆至未年。太元元年十一月祭南郊,其地今秣陵縣南十餘里郊中是也。晉氏南遷,立南郊于巳地,非禮所謂陽位之義也。宋武大明三年,尚書右丞徐爰議:「郊祀之位,遠古蔑聞。《禮記》燔柴于太一,祭天也;兆于南郊,就陽位也。漢初,甘泉河東禋埋易位,終亦徙于長安南北。光武紹作,定二郊洛陽南北。晉氏過江,悉在北。及郊兆之議,紛然不一。又南出道狹,未議開闡,遂于東南已地創立丘壇。皇宋受命,因而弗改,且居民之中,非邑外之謂。今聖圖重造,舊章畢新,南驛開涂,陽路修遠,謂宜郊正午以定天位。」博士司馬興之、傅郁,太常丞陸澄,并同爰議。乃移郊兆于秣陵牛頭山西,正在宮之午地也。
